JLE-NS Membership
The Junior League of Evanston - North Shore, Inc. is always looking for dedicated volunteers who want to make a difference in the suburbs north of Chicago! We welcome individuals to contact us regarding membership. We also encourage our members to invite new members to join the organization. (Sponsorship by an active member is not required for membership.)
The Junior League of Evanston - North Shore, Inc. reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.

How is the JLE-NS different from other volunteer organizations?
The JLE-NS is different from other organizations because of our emphasis on training. As part of our mission, we not only serve the community, but also are committed to developing the potential of women.
As a new member, what can I expect?
Our New Member Class starts each Fall and lasts for one year. During this time, you be able to experience a sampling of all that the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore offers. Specifically, there is a New Member course, General Membership Meetings and a New Member Project! Throughout the year, there are also opportunities to actively participate at the Junior League Thrift Store, attend social events, and make friends while making a difference.Requirements
Age
Prospective Members must be a woman 21 years of age or older, as of January 31st of their Provisional year. In addition, no member shall be at any time a member of more than one Junior League.Residence
Prospective members must be currently residing in the Chicago Metropolitan Area.Application Deadline
Applications will be provided at the Informational Meetings. Completed applications must be returned to the JLE-NS Headquarters by October 31.Financial Responsibilities
Annual Membership dues for Active Members are $200.00.
Annual Membership dues for New Members are $125.00.General Membership Meetings & Trainings
In addition to completing the New Member Orientation and Skills Training, each New Member will attend at least two (2) General Membership Meetings and volunteer six (6) hours at Thrift House.
