In response to the current COVID-19 situation in our world, the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore has developed a COVID-19 fund to assist some of our community partners during this challenging time.

Since the COVID-19 crisis and stay at home orders began, domestic violence calls have doubled.  In the past, our Purses with a Purpose program has supported shelters with purses and toiletries.  Today, these shelters have immediate needs and we hope others can join us in donating financially.

The shelters that we are supporting include:  A Safe Place, WINGS, Howard Area Community Center, Sarah’s Circle and Staben House.

Your donations will help these shelters to assist domestic violence victims, provide a home for adults and children, provide family stabilization, provide clinical and social services, and much more.

How can you help?

We are looking for donations in any amount and will match up to $5,000 for the duration of the campaign. 100% of these donations will be distributed evenly to the shelters.  Please make a donation by May 5th to help us respond together to double the impact!
