The League year is officially operating in full gear. September was a busy month full of events and meetings. Including our GMM featuring, the Liz Novack from Connections for the Homeless. This month’s GMM will take place on Wednesday, October 20th via Zoom from 6:30pm-9:00pm. At this meeting we will take time to discuss the results of our membership survey.
Additionally, October is National Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence Awareness Month. This is an area near and dear to our League since JLE-NS in partnership with the North Shore YWCA created The Shelter for Battered Women (renamed Mary Lou’s Place) in 1983.
Listed below are resources for those experiencing intimate partner violence. Please pass these resources on to others outside of the League.
Thank you for your time and dedication to the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time at nebogdanovich@gmail.com.
Kind Regards,
Nicole Bogdanovich

You can recognize survivors of abuse by their courage. When silence is so very inviting, they step forward and share their truth so others know they aren’t alone.” ― Jeanne McElvaney
