History
The Junior League of Evanston-North SHore is a women’s organization committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The JLE-NS has supported charitable organizations that make a difference in our area since our founding in 1924. We have a goal of donating $100,000 each year until our 100th Anniversary in 2024. Last year, we awarded $109,500 to thirteen non-profit organizations in amounts ranging from $500 to $20,000.
Application Process
The JLE-NS Community Grant Assistance Fund is expressly for the purposes of fund disbursement to non-profit, tax-exempt agencies and groups that enable the JLE-NS to respond to critical or emergency needs, to provide seed money needed through the first year of operation, or to help fund an organization that creates a significant impact in our community. Each recipient’s program must relate to the JLE-NS mission, vision, and community and focus on advancing employment and/or supporting women, children or families.
