The Junior League of Evanston North Shore is now accepting Community Grant Applications

The Junior League of Evanston North Shore is now accepting Community Grant Applications to award grants totaling $90,000.00 for our 2021-2022 year.  The grant applications must be completed and received by the JLE-NS office by 11/15/2021.  The grant money will be awarded to charities by the end of March 2022.  Additionally, will also be awarding Scholarship Grants totaling $10,000.00 later in the year.

The JLE-NS is an organization of over 200 women, committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The JLE-NS has supported charitable organizations that make a difference in our area since our founding in 1924.  We have a goal of donating $100,000 each year until our 100th anniversary in 2024.  Last year the JLE-NS awarded $109,500 to thirteen organizations ranging from $500 to $20,000 for a total of $109,500 in Community Grants.

Application Process

The Community grants assistance fund is expressly for the purposes of fund disbursement to non-profit, tax-exempt agencies and groups, that enable the JLE-NS to respond to critical or emergency need, to provide seed money needed through the first year of operation or to fund an organization that creates a significant community impact.  Each recipient’s program must relate to the JLE-NS mission, vision, and community focus on advancing employment and or supporting women, children or families.  Our community grant application was shortened and simplified this past year and is available by clicking here.
