Emily Coninx – President-Elect
Emily joined the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore in 2015 and handled Fundraising for the New Member class project, Baby Steps. She had so much fun at the event that she volunteered to serve as the Co-Chair of the New Member Committee for the next two years! In her professional life outside of the League, Emily is the Director at MacMunnis, Inc. which is a lease administration firm based in Evanston. She resides in Libertyville with her husband, Brian, and their golden doodle, Thaylee.

Paula Danoff – Fitting Futures Chair
Paula joined the JLE-NS in 1985. She has taken an active leadership role over the decades and served as President in 2007-08. She also worked as an Assistant Manager of Thrift House in 2002-04. She currently serves on the Thrift House Board and is excited for Being Chair of Fitting Future this year.

Serra Kazancioglu- Member Recruitment C0-Chair
Serra joined the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore in 2017 and started her involvement with Baby Steps as Fundraising Committee Chair. The experience left such a positive impact that she has decided to Co-Chair New Member Recruitment for 2018. In her professional life she is a Procurement Specialist/Project Manager for the College of American Pathologists, which is a non-profit medical association providing Proficiency Testing material to the domestic and international market along with lobbying in Washington to ensure the highest standards for laboratory care are practiced. After moving here in 2017 from Florida, she now resides in Lake Villa with her husband and 3 doggies (Oliver, Winston and Penelope).

Bernadett joined JLE-NS in 2017. She served as the Baby Steps Event co-chair and enjoyed getting to know her fellow new members and learning about all the Junior League’s contributions to the North Shore communities. Bernadett looks forward to serving as a New Member Chair for the next two years and is very excited about welcoming new women to the organization. Bernadett is from Budapest, Hungary, but has lived in the U.S. since 2000. She currently resides in Lake Forest with her husband and two Schnauzers, Liesel and Johan.

Corey has been a member of the Junior League Evanston-North Shore since 2010. She has served in a variety of roles including Thrift House Co-Chair, Admissions, Community Relations, and Kitchen Tour. Originally from Kansas, Corey resides in Kenilworth with her husband and twin sons.

Patty Lea – Social Co-Chair
Patty has been a member of the Junior League Evanston-North Shore since 2014. After completing the League’s New Member Class year, she has served as New Member Class Co-Chair (2015-2016) and Kitchen Tour Co-Chair (2016-2018). Originally from Connecticut, Patty lives in Winnetka with her husband Andy, 9 year old son Alex, 8 month old daughter Charlotte, and her spunky Labradoodle Rainbow.
Beth Weissmueller – Social Co-Chair
Beth has been a member of the Junior League Evanston-North Shore since 2014. After completing the League’s New Member Class year, she has served as New Member Class Co-Chair (2015-2016) and Kitchen Tour Co-Chair (2016-2018). Originally from Tennessee, Beth lives and works in the city. She lives in Andersonville with her husband Matt, and two furry friends, Lilly and Dolly.
Sophia Kondos – Sustainer Chair
Sophia Kondos joined the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore chapter in 2011 and has served in many capacities. Upon joining, Sophia chaired the Baby Steps programs which helps mothers in need with educational resources, and provides essential items for their newborn babies. In addition, she has served as Social and Trivia Night chair and has been a part of the Kitchen Tour and Scholarship committees. Sophia also volunteers with the National Charity League, an organization that is committed to the development of mothers and daughters as leaders, and like the Junior League is dedicated to improving local communities through hands-on volunteerism. She resides in Wilmette with her husband, son and two daughters.
Amber Golegos (Hubbs) – Thrift House Chair
Joining the Junior League in 2010 Amber Hubbs Golegos has been an active member of the Junior League for 5 years in Portland, Oregon, Tampa, Florida and most recently Evanston, Illinois. As a member of the Junior League of Evanston North Shore (JLE-NS) she has been committed to being a catalyst for lasting community change. In 2017 Amber served on the Thrift House committee. For her efforts on the Thrift House committee, Amber was awarded The Founders Award which was created in memory of Dorothy Mason Croft, who was the founder of the JLE-NS in 1924. This award was presented to Amber in recognition of outstanding service to the JLE-NS through her work on the Thrift House Committee and to honor her visionary community leadership. As of June 1, 2018 Amber has taken on the role of Thrift House Chair leading 8 members on her committee. In this role she will also serve as a Management Board member influencing strategic decisions impacting the league. In her professional life outside of the League, Amber works at Barilla pasta in Shopper Marketing.
Cara Heiser – Trivia Night Co-Chair
Cara Heiser Joined Junior League Evanston North Shore in 2016. Cara has spent her time in Junior League focusing on recruiting and increasing interest in the Junior League throughout the North Shore Community. In addition, she initiated and took part in many successful programs that benefit the community. Some of her highlighted projects include providing financial education to elderly retirement community residents, Junior Achievement instructor, and working with local special education classes to increase financial knowledge. In her professional life, Cara Heiser is the Assistant Vice President of Fifth Third Bank in Lake Forest with the responsibility for managing a financial center with $66MM in assets. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa Henry B Tippie College of Business and a Certificate in executive Leadership from DePaul University. Prior to holding her current position Cara worked as a Licensed Banker and a Wealth Management Advisor assisting clientele with their individual investment strategy. Cara has received the Curious Banker award for her creative ideas on how to bring financial education to the community. Cara resides in Libertyville with her husband, 3 year old son, and dog. When not at work Cara enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time with family, especially her son Cameron.
