Amber Hubbs Golegos – President

Joining the Junior League in 2010 Amber Hubbs Golegos has been an active member of the Junior League for 5 years in Portland, Oregon, Tampa, Florida and most recently Evanston, Illinois. As a member of the Junior League of Evanston North Shore (JLE-NS) she has been committed to being a catalyst for lasting community change. In 2017 Amber served on the Thrift House committee. For her efforts on the Thrift House committee, Amber was awarded The Founders Award which was created in memory of Dorothy Mason Croft, who was the founder of the JLE-NS in 1924. This award was presented to Amber in recognition of outstanding service to the JLE-NS through her work on the Thrift House Committee and to honor her visionary community leadership. For 2018-2019 Amber took on the role of Thrift House Chair leading 8 members on her committee. In this role she served as a Management Board member influencing strategic decisions impacting the league. In her professional life outside of the League, Amber works at Barilla pasta in Shopper Marketing.

Nicole Bogdanovich – President-Elect

Nicole Bogdanovich is a long-time member of The Junior league of Evanston-North Shore; joining in 1998 while still in college. Nicole has held many Management and Policy Board roles, including Cookbook chair, Scholarships and Grants chair, Nominating and Placement chair, recording secretary, Membership Director and Community Director. For her work as Nominating and Placement chair in 2014, Nicole was awarded The Founder’s Award. Outside of the League, Nicole is a family medicine physician. She resides in Wilmette. In her spare time, Nicole, likes to travel, explore Chicago, cook from scratch and has recently taken up embroidery.

Emily Coninx – Finance Director

Emily is a Past-President (2019-2020) of the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore.  She joined the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore in 2015 and handled Fundraising for the New Member class project, Baby Steps.  She had so much fun at the event that she volunteered to serve as the Co-Chair of the New Member Committee for the next two years!   In her professional life outside of the League, Emily is the Director at MacMunnis, Inc. which is a lease administration firm based in Evanston.  She resides in Libertyville with her husband, Brian, and their daughter, Cosette.

Cara Heiser – Membership Director

Cara Heiser Joined Junior League Evanston North Shore in 2016.  Cara has spent her time in Junior League focusing on recruiting and increasing interest in the Junior League throughout the North Shore Community.  In 2018-2019 she co-chaired the committee for the Trivia Night fundraiser.  In addition, she initiated and took part in many successful programs that benefit the community.  Some of her highlighted projects include providing financial education to elderly retirement community residents, Junior Achievement instructor, and working with local special education classes to increase financial knowledge.  In her professional life, Cara Heiser is the Assistant Vice President of Fifth Third Bank in Lake Forest with the responsibility for managing a financial center with $66MM in assets.  She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa Henry B Tippie College of Business and a Certificate in executive Leadership from DePaul University.   Prior to holding her current position Cara worked as a Licensed Banker and a Wealth Management Advisor assisting clientele with their individual investment strategy.  Cara has received the Curious Banker award for her creative ideas on how to bring financial education to the community.  Cara resides in Libertyville with her husband, 3 year old son, and dog.  When not at work Cara enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time with family, especially her son Cameron.

Betsy Turovitz – Member at Large

Dina Mead – Nominating & Placement

Dina is a long time member of the Junior League. She first joined the Junior League of Westchester-on-Hudson, NY in 1985. There she was Membership Development Chair and Provisional Trainer followed by Nominating/Placement Chair. In 1991, Dina moved to Southern California and transferred into the Junior League of Orange County. There she was the Provisional Trainer for a class of 150 new members, followed by the American Girl Fashion Show Chair. In 2005, Dina moved to Wilmette and transferred into the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore. At JLE-NS Dina has Co-Chaired the Admissions Committee, Chaired the Nominating Committee, served as Dues Treasurer, Member-at-Large and Thrift House Chair. Her crowning achievement was to serve as President for the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore 2013-2014. These days Dina remains an active member of JLE-NS but from out of state. She currently lives in Corona del Mar, California and is the Nominating & Placement Chair.

Jeanni McCormick – Personnel Director

Jeanni has been a member of the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore for 20 years. She has served in many Management and Policy Board roles, including chairing her new member class project, Thrift House Chair, Nominating & Placement Chair, and President of JLE-NS. Although now a Sustainer, Jeanni enjoys staying involved with the League and utilizing her HR skills.

Lyn Aleshire – Recording Secretary

Lyn joined Junior League Fort Myers in January of 2011. As a new member she headed up the new member urban garden project, then sat on the hospitality committee. In 2012 she moved back home to Winnetka with her family and transferred to the Junior League Evanston-North Shore.  While here she has happily sat on or chaired a variety of committees; Kitchen Tour, Social, Fitting Futures, Scholarships and Grants, and Thrift House. Outside of the League she is an immigration attorney and dedicated to her family.

Paula Danoff – Executive Director of the Thrift House Board of Directors

Paula joined the JLE-NS in 1985.  She has taken an active leadership role over the decades and served as President in 2007-08.  She also worked as an Assistant Manager of Thrift House in 2002-04.  She has served on the Thrift House Board and was excited to be the Chair of Fitting Futures for the 2018-2019 league year.
